Job summary

Pleasant View Skilled Nursing Community in Ottawa, IL, is seekingPRN RNs for 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).

The role pays $43.00/hour with shift differential where applicable, and requires on-call availability with a minimum of 4 shifts per month including 1 weekend shift. The RN on shift acts as the senior clinical decision-maker, leads care planning, oversees LPNs and CNAs, and serves as charge nurse for the floor.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
• PRN/on-call availability with minimum 4 shifts per month including 1 weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and monitor health status.
• Lead care planning and supervise LPNs and CNAs on your unit.
• Administer medications and treatments and delegate tasks to team members.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to on-call provider and families.

As the RN on shift, you're the senior clinical decision-maker on the floor at Pleasant View, which means residents and their families are counting on your judgment when things change fast. You'll lead care planning, delegate and oversee LPNs and CNAs, and serve as charge nurse for your shift.

What you'll do

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including monitoring health status and responding to changes in condition
• Complete resident assessments and lead individualized care planning
• Administer medications and treatments, and delegate and oversee tasks performed by LPNs and CNAs on your unit
• Communicate condition changes to the on-call provider and to residents' families
• Serve as charge nurse for your shift, coordinating care across the floor

What you'll need

Required:

• Active Illinois RN license

Preferred

• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
