Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and actions taken in required reports and logs, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
