Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in Springfield, IL. You will patrol healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and maintain a visible presence while delivering outstanding customer service.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work day and night shifts, and adherence to site policies. A positive, professional demeanor and strong communication are essential values for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership and emergency responders.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, direction-giving, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, healthcare staff, and emergency responders regarding incidents and observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
