Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Patrol Operations in Portland, TN. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors.

You will communicate professionally and support a welcoming, safe environment. Roles include handling security-related procedures, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to store contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and maintenance of incident reports per site procedures.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.42 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate store contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and maintenance of accurate activity and incident reports in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
