Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Bloomington, IL. You will patrol, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors at a commercial real estate location.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. This is a full-time daytime schedule with consistent 3 PM–11 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and document observations and incidents according to site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders.

What You’ll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document observations, incidents, and/or irregular conditions in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
