Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Guard in South Bend, IN to protect clients across healthcare facilities and clinics. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, assist visitors, and deliver customer service while maintaining a professional presence during assigned DayTime shifts.

As a Part-Time Officer, you can build a flexible schedule and access our Shift-claim platform. A high school diploma and ability to pass background checks are required; drivers license is needed

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity to designated personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
