Job summary

Allied Universal in Secaucus, NJ is seeking an unarmed Security Guard Patrol Access Control to protect employees and visitors at a technology, media, and telecom site. You will patrol, monitor access, and deliver customer service with a professional presence.

This full-time role offers daytime shifts, access to Allied Universal tools and training, and a culture focused on safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, facility concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional presence.

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
