Job summary

Allied Universal in Newtown, PA is seeking a part-time Security Guard Patrol to monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and deter security incidents while delivering courteous service to employees and visitors.

You will work day and night shifts on a rotating schedule; prior customer service and badge-access experience are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and background checks and drug screening will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and/or assist with visitor processing and delivery coordination in accordance with location protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and/or completing required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and site conditions.
