Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard in Sterling, VA. You will patrol and monitor a technology/media campus, maintain a visible presence, and deliver strong customer service while following site procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests on a technology/media campus per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeters to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorization and direct guests to locations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; notify personnel and document activities per site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports on patrols, incidents, and security concerns and share information with leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
