Job summary

Allied Universal in Hampton, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to provide customer service and secure the premises. Overnight shifts are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

You will conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain thorough logs. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen, be at least 18, have a HS diploma, and hold a valid driver’s license if driving positions apply.

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the location and Perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access, verify authorization, and document arrivals, departures and incidents.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain daily activity logs.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs related to patrols, access activity, and observed conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
