Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Orangeburg, NY. You will provide customer service at a healthcare-related laboratory, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and perform regular patrols to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors at a healthcare-related laboratory location by carrying out site-specific procedures and responding to routine inquiries.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and shift documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.

As a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Orangeburg, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.43 - $18.43 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
