Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Guard for a healthcare location in Pelham, NY. You will provide exceptional customer service while safeguarding clients and staff and maintaining a visible security presence through regular patrols and access monitoring.

You will respond to incidents following site protocols, complete incident reports, and collaborate with emergency responders and management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, delivery areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
