Allied Universal, Canoga Park, CA, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard to serve retail locations and protect clients. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and other spaces.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns; deter unauthorized activity with professional presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Support access-control procedures for employees, vendors, and deliveries per site requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.91 / Hour

Job Schedule: Tue: 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM; Wed: 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and other assigned spaces.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, helping to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Support access-control procedures for employees, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
