Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Security Guard in Burlingame, CA to monitor guest areas, deter incidents, and ensure a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will provide professional customer service, respond to concerns, and uphold site procedures.

As a Security Officer, you will work a flexible schedule, join a dynamic team, and participate in our shift-claim platform. This role emphasizes safety, courtesy, and reliable incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, entrances, parking areas, exterior grounds, and property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns per site procedures.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation accurately and promptly.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
