Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard in Louisville, KY to patrol the facility, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service. The role includes shift-based scheduling on Saturdays and Sundays, with opportunities to participate in a dynamic and collaborative security team.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and maintain effective communication with site contacts while upholding company standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, reporting unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate security-related observations to leadership.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
