Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a Blythewood, SC manufacturing and industrial site. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

The schedule is Day Time with shifts 2:30 PM–10:30 PM on Mon-Fri, pay rate $19.10 per hour. We welcome individuals with prior security or law enforcement experience and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing facilities, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and assist with traffic flow and site entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
