Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds inside and outside of the convention center, observing irregularities such as prowlers, fire, or damage.
• Involve other safety, fire, and city patrol officials as warranted; prepare reports.
• Monitors fire panel for alerts at all times.
• Directs and controls crowd flow during events; provide directions and intervention as needed.
• Ensure facility lights and doors are secured as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, employees, performers, vendors, and contractors at the arena. This position provides crowd management, access control, emergency response, and general security services during events and non-event days while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with venue policies.

This role pays an hourly rate $22.50.

• Conduct rounds inside and outside of the convention center, observing and reacting to irregularities such as prowlers, fire, or potential causes of fire, or other potential causes of loss or damage to property.
• Involve other safety, fire, and city patrol officials as the situation warrants. Prepare associated reports and involve others as the situation merits.
• Monitors fire panel for complex at all times.
• During facility events, directs and controls the flow of patrons, responding to questions, providing direction, and reacting to situations requiring support and intervention.
