The role offers part-time shifts (evenings/weekdays) with a focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism; you will contribute to a welcoming, secure setting for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Security Guard License is required.
• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff and service providers following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances and emergencies, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization, report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident and patrol reports and maintain logs.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entry points, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, visitor activity, and other security-related events.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
