Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services provider, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer for Screening Operations in Miami, FL. You will support clients across logistics and distribution by performing site-specific screening, monitoring access, and enforcing safety policies.

This role offers flexible scheduling with morning and overnight shifts, training opportunities, and access to our Claim a Shift platform to build a personalized work calendar and grow with our team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed positions; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Criminal histories considered in line with applicable laws.
• Possession of required licensing as per state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property as assigned, reporting prohibited or suspicious items or activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and escalate concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Part Time Screening Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or property as assigned, following established procedures and reporting prohibited or suspicious items or activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain accurate screening-related logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
