Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New Brunswick, NJ. This position offers flexible, reliable shifts at a residential building site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and move toward a full‑time schedule.

As part of a responsive security team, you will perform patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide friendly service to residents, visitors, and vendors while maintaining site policies.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Residential Building in New Brunswick, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Tue 12:00 AM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to property management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
