Job summary

Allied Universal in Etna, OH, is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Patrol Inspection to monitor and protect client sites across logistics and distribution. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will patrol, deter incidents, provide excellent customer service, and report observations with integrity.

This part-time role offers daytime and evening shifts with a pay rate of $17.98 per hour and opportunities to grow through our Claim a Shift platform and training.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials or delivery documentation as directed, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and access-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials or delivery documentation as directed, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and/or access-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
