Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Guard in Montgomery, AL. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a commercial real estate site while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor property access and verify visitor/contractor authorization; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal.

As an unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 10:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report unusual activity or maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
