Job summary

Allied Universal in Sewell, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol government park and recreation locations and deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access points, completing logs, and maintaining a professional presence with visitors and staff. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, with CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public parks and recreation locations.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of park grounds, trails, facilities, parking areas, playgrounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report damaged property, maintenance concerns, hazards, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with visitors, staff, and responding agencies.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol government park and recreation locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will respond to security-related concerns, document activities, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Sat 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
