Job summary

Allied Universal in Pelham, NY is seeking a part-time Security Guard to patrol and protect facilities at healthcare locations. You will maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism and care.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will work a fixed evening schedule, provide excellent customer service, and adhere to site policies while supporting a safe, welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in security or service roles.
• Ability to follow site-specific policies and procedures.
• Willingness to perform unarmed patrols and monitor access points.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, delivery areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
