Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a clinic waiting area in Bronx, NY. You will provide courteous customer service to patients and staff, patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication in a government healthcare setting.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, and vaccines are required for this hospital site. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred and may be completed after hire; background checks

Qualifications

• Guard card and/or security license preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state, local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal protocols and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner with appropriate notifications.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control such as checking IDs and directing visitors to destinations.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates to supervisors.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal protocols, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control activities such as checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized visitors to the correct destinations.
• Complete security‑related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
