Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard at a utilities location in West Palm Beach, FL. You will provide professional customer service, deter incidents through visible patrols, and report security concerns per site procedures.

You’ll work as an Unarmed Patrol Officer with driving responsibilities, supporting a collaborative team culture while ensuring the safety of clients and facilities. Training and shift flexibility are available.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Guard card required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and alarms per established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document visitor/contractor/delivery activity per site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
