Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing/industrial location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry and observing visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in required reports and logs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Response Driver in Peoria, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access‑control issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related activities in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an EMT certification.
• Have previous firefighting experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
