Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Guard in San Francisco, CA. You will provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public, conducting security procedures and emergency responses while maintaining a visible presence at transportation facilities.

You will meet minimum requirements such as 1+ year armed security experience, an armed guard card, sobriety, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as per law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government transportation facilities and surrounding public areas.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-related areas, parking locations, entrances, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe public areas for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns; report observations through established channels.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while interacting professionally with diverse members of the public.

Pay Rate: $27.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
