Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for overnight patrols at a New York office building. This part-time role involves providing exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors, enforcing access control, and maintaining a high-visibility security presence to deter incidents.

You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, and document daily activities while collaborating with property management and supervision to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious conditions, property concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and property management personnel.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
