Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Guard Medical Facility Access Control. You will monitor access points, patrol facilities, and provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus partners, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents and support a safe, welcoming environment.

This full-time role requires a NYS Security Guard License, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies, including emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence halls, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and using campus protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and other security-related matters.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence hall exteriors, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
