Job Description

As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Facility in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with your team, demonstrating reliability, agility, and integrity in all interactions. Your role is essential in supporting a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone on site.

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and observing for unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
