Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Minooka, IL. You will protect a manufacturing/industrial site by controlling entry points, verifying credentials, and responding to incidents while delivering strong customer service.

This full-time role follows a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule on Thu–Sun. Qualified candidates are 18+ (21+ for armed roles), with a High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience or comfort assisting employees, visitors and contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to follow site-specific access-control procedures.
• Ability to respond to security incidents in a calm, organized manner.
• Regular patrols of entrances, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, complete reports using computer or tablet systems, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $20.81 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the industrial location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Document access-control activity, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
