University of Louisville is seeking a Security Officer to handle locking/unlocking, security checks, and hazard identification on Belknap Campus. The role includes assisting with parking lot monitoring, motorist help, escorts, and information services for visitors and staff.
The position requires a valid driver's license, 2 years of related experience or equivalent, and the ability to operate radios and phones; routine sitting, standing, and walking are expected.

The primary responsibilities for the position of Security Officer is the locking and unlocking of university facilities on a time scheduled basis, performing walk through security checks of university buildings, and identifying potential security and safety hazards. The officer will also assist in the monitoring of parking lot facilities, performing motorist assistance, providing escorts upon request and providing general information to visitors of the university as well as the university community. Must have the ability to perform extensive sitting, standing, and walking; to communicate effectively; to operate two-way radios and telephones.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
