Job Description

Security Officer Needed at West Penn Hospital

Part Time - $17.75 / Hour

3:00PM-11:00PM / 11:00PM-7:00AM - Up to 24 Hours Per Week, Weekends Included

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring hospital premises for security and safety.
• Patrolling on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Assisting nursing staff with patient restraints (training provided).
• Escorting staff to hospital morgue with deceased patients.
• Responding to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or hazardous situations.
• Screening visitors and staff for security purposes.
• Inspecting security devices and fire safety equipment.
• Providing customer service in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in customer service, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• State/local licensing as required.
• Valid driver’s license for driving roles.
• Post-offer training and certification in Management of Aggressive Behavior.
