Qualifications

• Must possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background investigation required by law; drug screen required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and emergency response guidelines.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeters and public spaces, to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization; report suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, contact emergency responders, and follow site protocols.
• Document patrols and incidents, and communicate findings to leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and applicable emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and public spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and report suspicious activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency personnel and following established site protocols when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
