Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, on-site security services at a healthcare examination location. The role offers fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and prepare incident reports. The position features a flexible schedule with base anchor shifts and the option to earn more through additional shifts, with pay at $18.87 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories where permitted by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Incident Documentation in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon01:00 PM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a healthcare medical examination location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with directions and access‑related questions as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency response activities in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Possess a state, county, or city‑issued security license preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Have loss prevention experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
