Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard – Grocery Center Surveillance in New York. You will provide customer service, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and deter incidents while upholding site policies.

This role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Schedule includes day shifts; pay rate is $20 per hour.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecommunications location, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity while providing courteous assistance and clear directions to individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied University will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
