Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed at Reston, VA. You will monitor designated areas, interact with personnel, and deter security incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s culture and standards.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following reporting/escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access activity and verify credentials per site requirements; report unusual conditions to leadership.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and document incidents and patrol findings.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Security Clearance Patrol in Reston, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity and verify credentials in accordance with site-specific requirements, reporting unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and document incidents, observations, and patrol findings in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
