Qualifications

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.
• Driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in SANTA CRUZ, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving role also involves delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of municipal buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in clear and accurate reports.
• Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and maintaining a professional presence that helps support orderly operations at government facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
