Job summary

Allied Universal is recruiting for a Security Guard – Unarmed at a Miami, FL retail/mall location. You will provide security while delivering excellent customer service, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and report security concerns in a professional manner.

This full-time role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and comfort using computers or tablets. A state license is preferred and background checks will be conducted in accordance with laws.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; basic tech literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by following site policies and security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and report to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to maintain orderly conditions per site procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activity accurately through required reports and electronic systems.

Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Incident Documentation – Miami, FL

You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and help maintain orderly conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately through required reports, logs, and/or electronic reporting systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
