Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Emergency Support Patrol in Richmond, VA. Responds to incidents, patrols sites, and provides exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Role requires a valid Guard Card (preferred), CPR/First Aid (preferred), and compliance with background checks and drug screening. This position is on-site with diverse shift patterns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas; report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain security logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with directions and access-related questions and communicate observations to leadership.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Emergency Support Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with access-related questions, and communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
