• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document observations for appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and shift handoff communications.

As a Security Guard Full Time Access Controlin Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy retail distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide welcoming customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution center facilities, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and promptly notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
