Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time in Bensenville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Tue: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

Wed: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

Fri: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site-specific reporting requirements.


• Maintain a professional presence while assisting with the protection of company property, technology assets, and facilities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
