Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) is seeking a friendly and professional Full-Time Security Guard I to oversee a federal facility. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality service with attention to detail and strong communication skills, and may cover additional shifts during the week and holidays.

As part of the role you will greet visitors, verify access, monitor cameras, maintain log reports, and coordinate with onsite staff for escorts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building conditions and notify facilities staff of issues.
• Conduct evening security tours and monitor cameras.
• Keep visitor logs and coordinate with onsite staff for escorts.
• Answer phones and monitor the security office.
• Maintain control of keys and log them in/out.
• Provide detailed shift log reports without omissions.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• May lift up to 25 lbs.

ICMS is seeking a friendly and professional Full-Time Security Guard I to oversee a federal facility and can provide high-quality service, attention to detail, and understands the worth of exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have a confident personality and be equipped with excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Additional coverage may be necessary for other shifts during the week and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to:

• Greet visitors when they enter the building and guide them to their designated areas
• Process important queries and manage customer expectations in a polite and friendly manner
• Verify access badges
• Monitor building conditions; notify appropriate facilities/custodial personnel of issues
• Conduct evening tours to verify security of access/egress. Monitor parking areas and security cameras for anomalies or security issues
• Keep track of visitors and coordinate with onsite staff for escorting
• Answer telephones and monitor the security office
• Maintain control of all keys. This includes logging the keys in and out
• Provide detailed log report at the end of each shift. Must be filled in as instructed and no details missed
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment
• May be required to lift to 25 lbs.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to pass an extensive background check
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1+ years client-facing experience
• Basic computer literacy skills and talent for technology
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of local attractions and establishments
• Polite, friendly, and self-assured attitude
• Skills in multitasking and good time-management
• Track record of dependability and punctuality.

Night Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:00am

Pay Rate: $18.69/hour including $5.09/hour Health & Welfare Benefits
