Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers flexible hours, stable shifts, and opportunities to grow with a leading security company. Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients at a commercial real estate location while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Site Checks in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wednesday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients at a commercial real estate location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directing authorized individuals and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
