Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers flexible, dependable shifts and a path toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

You will provide customer service at a public cultural institution, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence and logging activities accurately.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, entrances, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and general information, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and communicating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a public-facing environment.

Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Operations in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.76 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri12:00 PM - 07:00 PM Sat11:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun11:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
