Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.25 per hour. The schedule is DayTimeThur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM with opportunities to scale to up to 40 hours per week. Prior security experience and a high school diploma are preferred, along with a Guard Card/License if available.

• Six months of security-related experience or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Guard Card/License preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while following security procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and tenant concerns and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear activity reports and maintain documentation per site procedures.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout building common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and maintain required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
