Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Redwood City, CA. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, assisting in earning additional income while gaining experience.

Responsibilities include customer service to students, staff and visitors, conducting regular patrols, monitoring access points, and timely incident reporting. A valid driver’s license and security experience are required.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional interactions with the campus community.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Redwood City, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $26.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue11:30 PM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
