Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at CHICAGO, IL. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and a program to pick up additional shifts, designed to help you earn more while gaining experience in a major security services company.

The position pays $17.43 per hour and includes responsibilities such as customer service, unarmed patrols at a luxury retail site, incident reporting, and cooperation with leadership and emergency responders.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and retail staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stockrooms, exterior areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns, helping to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with store leadership, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun10:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
