As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Operations in Monroe, MI, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 05:00 AM – 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and records.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, suspicious activity, facility concerns, and incident documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
